    Hi all,

I'm in the process of finishing off my personal statement and have one question:

Is the use of bullet points frowned upon?

It would really help if anyone knows! And the reasons if it is!

I'm not sure if I want to use them, but someone suggested it to me.

    Thanks!

I think it's probably best not to. I know it's a pain when you've got limited space but full sentences look more professional!

No, no, no and no in short.

Write in good, professional English just in case you happen to get some grumpy personal statement reader who happens to frown upon any sort of funny grammar/formatting.

They are asking for a short essay, and bullet points are on the whole not used much in essay-writing and are more suited for powerpoint presentations.

bullet points?surely that would kill your lines limit. i mean say you do 4 bullet points thats a lot of lines you have wasted. So definiletly levae it out.

Yeah that's a good point. You don't just have a word/character limit, you also have a line limit!
