are the cambridge exams really harder than edexcel?
that's what most people say..
true or false?
who said edexcel was hard?
I do both biology and chemistry with edexcel and to be honest its very very straight forward.
i do OCR, subsequently i can only give a different opinion to nadine but i would hazard a guess and say neither is overly tough as long as your prepared to put the work in!! as to which exam board is harder, i guess this is subjective, but both exam boards will be pretty equal as they'll both have to meet predetermined standards!
Just be glad you managed to avoid Salters Chemistry. Ouch.
is salters OCR?? cos i do that and find it alright and im no brainbox
Salters is a version of OCR.
It's from the University of York. Supposedly a specially developed, very practical approach but it's incredibly confusing and very "applied" (therefore exam questions make no sense =D)
cambridge is DEFINATELY harder.in case of edexcel, the course is conscise and cambridge syllabus is way too much detailed and ofcourse tougher..but i do think cambridge is better bec it will help later in med school.
i know one exception:
FP2 and FP3 of further math
edexcel tortures us with conics and argand loci
Erm..but shouldn't it be spelled ''definitely''?
I'm not sure this is true- I'm taking OCR (not Salters) and the edexcel books and the syllabus looks harder to me. Loads more detail- but maybe it's just the way the books are written.
Not even going NEAR edexcel further maths.
Normal maths is confusing enough =D
Did you understand what he/she was trying to say? Does it really matter?
And unintendedly, I'll have a look at it for you
